Wow, I can’t believe it’s the last quarter of 2017. How did the year go by SO FAST.
I have so many things I want to get done before the end of the year.
Something I’ve been realizing about my goal making is that in the past I haven’t been as specific as I should have been. So this quarter, I’m setting goals along with time goals to have things done by so I can keep myself accountable better.
In the business world, I’ve known some people who set these goals to have things done by, and then they never reach their goals because they aren’t SMART goals. They aren’t specific, they aren’t realistically measurable, they aren’t achievable (because no one knows what they are supposed to be doing by when), they definitely aren’t realistic, and they aren’t timely.
Can you believe there are only a couple months left till it’s 2018??
That pushes me into high gear. I need to accomplish many things before the new year! How is it that the month has vanished so quickly? The time disappears in the small moments throughout the day. It went by so fast that we are almost done with the third quarter of this year, and all before I even had a chance to share the 3rd Quarterly Goals post with you guys. So here it is.
In order to review, my 2nd quarter went pretty well. There were things I did pretty well, and there were other things I wish I would have done better on.

Even though this QTR sort of snuck by me. I am going to accomplish great things. I’ve learned a lot lately about setting goals and making sure to meet them without setting a new date for the goal to be accomplished. No more of that.
I wish that my summer could be as carefree as they were when I was little. They were the days of laying on the hammock reading all day, while listening to the birds singing and the wind whispering through the tree’s leaves. But now, summer… is a lot like all year long.
I wake up at around 7 am. Go for a run or a walk with my fiancé and then take a shower. This summer I was lucky to have my fiancé here with me for 6-weeks. He spoiled me with amazing breakfast and surprised me with lavish dinners when I came home from a long day at work.
By 9 am, I’m at work. I really love having a job. It really creates a sense of financial peace knowing that you can make enough to meet needs, but also to enjoy life.
Can you believe how fast this year has been going so far?
We’ve only got 7 months left?
I have so many things I want to finish before the end of the year. So today, I thought I’d share my goals for the next few months. Johan is coming to see me June 30th. I am really excited for him to come here. I am definitely going to need to buckle down starting now, so that I finish some things before he comes. Then I can relax with him while he is here.
