The Mad Hatter: Have I gone mad?
[Alice checks Hatter’s temperature]
Alice: I’m afraid so. You’re entirely bonkers. But I’ll tell you a secret. All the best people are.
I was recently asked by someone, what my creative environment is like. So, I thought I’d also share all this with you too.
My creative environment is my writing studio. My desk and room are filled with inspiring decor and also favorite works of fiction. My current theme is Alice in Wonderland.
The Chronicles of Narnia is my ALL TIME FAVE SERIES! Which, means C.S. Lewis is my all time FAVE author. He greatly inspired me to be a writer. The white books on the bottom shelf are my beloved set.
On the middle shelf I have another WELL-LOVED book of mine. It is Little Women. When I was in Elementary School, our library was throwing out old books. There was a box of books summoning me like a box of orphaned puppies needing homes. The librarian told us we could take some books home if we liked. I saw the old copy of Little Women and I NEEDED IT! So, I rescued it.
I made this book shelf in middle school. Above that is my planning magnetic board where I put pictures and plotting notes up about my stories.
Then I also have things that inspire me about the current book I am working on (Like the necklace and chest in the photo above).
To get creative, I listen to music, go for a walk in the woods, draw, do different things, read books, watch inspiring movies, play with my dog, and go on adventures.
I believe if any person implemented a creative environment into their lives that it would definitely inspire and encourage them greatly in many areas of their lives.
I know it has definitely made a difference in my life.
What is your creative environment like? And what inspires you?
