I’ve been aiming to read more, because I want to learn more, improve my life and home, as well as write more. Because writers need to read in order to write, right?
At the beginning of November I chose 4 books to read in November. Cozy Minimalist Home was one of them. I want to create a relaxing and cozy atmosphere with my home so that it can serve my husband, Loki, and I. As well as people who come to visit.
I never saw myself as a minimalist and never liked the cold feeling I felt the minimalist style gave off. I think it was too modern for my taste, but when I saw the Cozy Minimalist Home and how comfy all the pictures were, I found myself yearning for that coziness in our home. That clean, cozy, and relaxing atmosphere.
I definitely recommend the Cozy Minimalist Home to anyone who wants to decorate their home with more style and less stuff. I saw a quote by someone once that said “Look around the room you are in. All that stuff, used to be money.” Take a moment to let that sink in. As a society, we definitely have too much stuff!
It’s hard to believe that we can accumulate so much stuff over time. When I lived in Australia in 2012 (I lived there for the full year and arrived there with two large suitcases and a carry on.) I’d collected many more things than I’d come with. And I had to figure out where it would go and how to get rid of the stuff I didn’t want to bring back with me.
I’ll be sharing before and after pictures when I finish with decorating our place in a cozy minimalist style.
Have you read this book? If so, what did you think?
